Mecavit obtains IATF certification

In 2019 Mecavit obtained an important international recognition: the IATF 16949 Certification, which certifies the quality of the company and its full compliance with industry’s standards for automotive suppliers.

The IATF 16949 standard defines the ISO 9001 requirements for a quality management system of a company in the automotive industry supply chain.

The certification starts from the need to have a documentary basis on the requirements of the Quality Management System worldwide harmonized. The new standard was developed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and includes references to ISO 9001 requirements, on which the structure is based.

Obtaining the IATF 16949 certification demonstrates that the company's quality management system has met the requirements to create a continuous improvement process with particular regard to defect prevention, waste reduction and the supply chain.

The certification is recognized by the most important car manufacturers, who intend to work only with IATF 16949 certified companies because they require that their suppliers operate through a solid management system and Mecavit is among these suppliers.

A great result, which confirms and strengthens the solidity and the continuous evolution of the company.
